Pool Rules
Accident prevention is the cornerstone of safety. You can help us maintain a safe and healthy pool environment by obeying the following rules:
- Obey instructions of the lifeguards.
- No horseplay or running allowed, including running starts on the slide.
- Anyone acting in a manner that may cause harm to themselves or others will be dismissed from the pool.
- Infants and toddlers must wear swim diapers.
- Children 10 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult that is 18 years old or older.
- Children 11 to 13 years old must take a swimming test to swim unaccompanied.*
- Diving is permitted in the deep end of the pool only.
- No back dives.
- No flips from the side of the pool.
- Do not tamper with the drain.
- Do not hang or swing from the ladders, lane ropes, diving blocks, or guard stations.
- Kickboards and exercise equipment are for lap swim, swimming lessons, and exercise class use only.
- Only US Coast Guard approved wearable floatation devices are permitted. Children utilizing wearable floatation devices during open swim must be accompanied by an adult 18 years old or older in the pool at all times. Lifejackets are to be used in shallow water only. Noodles, inflatables, kickboards, etc. will not be permitted.
- Glass containers are prohibited.
- Showers are required before swimming.
- Refreshments are permitted in designated areas.
- No food or drinks are permitted on the pool deck or in the pool.
- Swimmers with open sores or rashes will not be allowed admission.
- No cut-offs or street clothes in the pool.
- Smoking, radios, animals, weapons, alcoholic drinks, and drugs are strictly prohibited.
*Children must be able to show proof of age to be allowed to swim unaccompanied.
